Hah! UPS, DHL and FedEx can all eat a bowl of dicks. They always seem to gently caress up my vinyl orders. Only my postal lady drives 100 yards from my road side mailbox, up my driveway to carefully place my vinyl orders in an unlocked utility closet near my back door. Thanks USPS!!!

My vinyl is sorted from funkiest to least funky (George Clinton --> Burzum). To each their own.

I'd look into invest into a decent dehumidifier to put in whatever room you're housing your records.
