I am thinking of taking my family (wife and 3 teens) to Vegas this year, if I can afford it. Does all the stuff in the OP still apply? it's getting near 10 years old.

JaySB posted:What is your specific question, so I don't have to go back and read the entire OP and guess whether or not you're interested in parts of it? Nothing really specific yet. I am planning a trip to Vegas with my wife and 3 kids (15,16, and 17). We're not really gamblers and we're on the budget. They've never been there before and are mostly wanting to see all the cool hotels and stuff. Right now we are looking at Circus Circus. It looks pretty seedy and a bit far from the attractions, but it has good prices and honestly seems like it has the most stuff for the kids to do without they're parents, as I doubt they will want to be saddled to us. I checked out Excalibur and while it says it is good for families, I didn't see much there except for the "Fun Dungeon" which looks the same as it did when I went there as a teen in the 90's. Also, are there good places to look for bundle airfare/hotel/attraction deals?

Baddog posted:Why do you want to go to Vegas? My wife wants to see it and I have family in Cali who wants to go and meet us there. I assume there are things to do besides gambling. Not that I am against gambling. I am sure I will do some, but it won't be the focus.
