Blind Pineapple posted:Overall, the episodes were ok, but I'm not liking the trend of all the one-off Family Guy style jokes. Scruffy magically going to back to being a man with no explanation was probably for the better, but it was totally lazy writing. The requirement that everything should be back the way it was at the end of the episode is nonsense. It's part of the conceit that there is a status quo which is returned to, but demanding that everything is wrapped up in a neat little package makes for episodes which spend more time tripping over themselves trying to make everything "fit" than ones in which interesting things happen.

The worst episode of the first half of the season, and possibly the whole run, is the eyePhone episode. There's no arguing that point. Watch the Holiday Spectacular again, it's really not that bad.

Especially because the joke tends to be "Hermes smokes pot" and nothing more. It's worse because it's the kind of lazy joke they really went out of their way not to make initially. "Now I got to go home and relax the traditional Jamaican way: A glass of warm milk and good night's sleep"
