As for GRRM... he's a rich lonely old man who has written some creepy things, can't imagine anyone being surprised. If anything getting cancelled might be a relief for him, assuming these allegations get any traction; he wouldn't have to keep lying about writing the last books. In hindsight, the books I know Wendig for are just tragedy/mutilation porn for a misanthropic woman with magic powers because uh (checks notes) she had a miscarriage? So him being a hack and a sex pest is basically "no poo poo" territory, I'm just an idiot.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised I'm pretty sure most of those dudes have been known creeps before, this is the first time I've heard it from GRRM but since he,you know,married one of his fans it's definitely a possibly. There's an element of Monkey Paw punishment for GRRM isn't there - he makes a very popular book series, and it gains a substantial following and then it becomes the biggest fantasy series ever and he buys himself oh, a good 7-8 years from when the pilot is produced to finish the series. He can't do it. Then the TV show completely flubs the ending, leading to massive disappointment, and he isn't even the one that gets to pen the ending. AND THEN The worst global pandemic in 100 years strikes the planet and he's forced inside, unable to go to any of his beloved conventions or speaking appearances, and all thats left for him to do is finish the book series. Most everyone else has moved on but there's still his hardcore fans, the ones disappointed with the TV ending, and what can he do? He has no excuses left. Where will the book be, George?
