So far it's giving me a couple of performance boosts off of the last SVN build I installed, which is nice. And I like the UI cleanup. Please note that the only game I play in Dolphin is Mr. Driller: Drill Land, though.

Im_Special posted:You shouldn't be seeing any performance boosts actually, instead it should be getting slower and slower from 3.5 onward to this 4.0 release, as time goes on in exchange for better compatibility/accuracy. But now that 4.0 is released they're dropping a ton of legacy code (bye bye DX9) and the devs will be focusing on performance next. I have no idea then, the framerate's had a lot less dips. Maybe I just had all of the wrong settings configured in the old build, since this is a fresh install.

Also I thought I remembered it being poo poo for Kirby 64 last time I looked. If you don't respect K64, you're no friend of mine.

It really started when 3D console emulation steadied, because I'm pretty sure the first ones I ever saw were for N64 games, given that those games look like the hottest rear end when blown up and unfiltered by CRTs. Admittedly it was more just like... "textures are not 5 pixels tall and mud" packs, not HD anything, to begin with.
