Downloading so slowly. I get to be the guinea pig for Lion at my job, so that should make today a bit more fun (if it finishes by 5).

I was all stoked to install it on a machine at work before I play around with my own Mac but then I realized that I have no idea how to buy it for the enterprise. Guess I have to make some phone calls. How are other companies handling it?

I'm in Canada and also getting the 'temporarily unavailable' error. Has anyone who is not American actually managed to download it?

Granite Octopus posted:Tried purchasing just now from the App Store (in australia if that makes a difference) Same (also Australia). It's taking a bit longer to try and process the purchase now but I'm hoping that's because the store is being slammed rather than it's going to error out again :|

I would say it's probably getting mashed but I'm getting 6-7MB/s so it's ok if you can actually get through

I got my redemption code for the free upgrade, and it took me straight to a download once I'd redeemed that code. Doesn't seem to be doing much, but hey, I'm patient. In Australia.

Neither of the up-to-date methods recognise the serial number of the macbook pro I bought on the 19th of June. Anyone else having the same issue?

After about 15 more tries it worked! Downloading now at ~100kb/sec, so around 12 hours Ah well, not in a rush. Time for bed now anyway...

Anyone else experiencing this? The Lion download is requiring me to enter my AppleID and password, but it's telling me they're incorrect. I reset the password, successfully logged in to both iTunes and purchased something, and also accessed account maintenance on Apple's site successfully. Back to the app store to get Lion? Password is wrong, you must reset. Apple! EDIT: And then... on the fourth try, Jobs said, let there be Lion. VanguardTruth fucked around with this message at 14:10 on Jul 20, 2011 |

I have a quick question about Lion. I know they removed the current samba program but did they replace it with something else in Lion? The only stuff on Google coming up are rumor sites from when the samba news first broke. Thanks

Until the App Store stops freaking out, I feel the need to ask a potentially stupid question; Will it allow me to straight up upgrade to Lion from SL without removing things like documents, installed non-Apple apps/settings etc.? This is my first upgrade and I want to be sure I won't lose anything important.
