EDIT: I should clarify, the old functionality still works on Safari, but it does not work in Firefox or Opera. They both demand the new browser extension that (apparently?) doesn't support TouchID.

You need 1Password 8 for cmd+backslash and the newer extension to work in browsers that aren't Safari.

Which extension are you using, because that definitely works for me with 1Password 8 and the newer extension (what they call "1Password in the browser")
