Having never bought a mac before... I'm looking at a rMBP. I want the 512gb SSD, but I can't decide if I should go for the 16gb of RAM. I know 8GB is just fine, but will there be a noticeable difference with 16gb if I am playing games in bootcamp?

This might be a silly question. Do Apple Stores carry a range of retina MBPs, or do they just carry the base models and thats that? In other words, could I walk out of the store with a 512GB / 16GB rMBP? Or does that have to go through apple.com?

I'm about to make "the switch" from PCs to a rMBP this week. I'm planning on doing some (light) gaming on it at some point. Minecraft, Guild Wars 2, TF2. Eventually probably doing a boot camp install. I like the look of the Magic Mouse. Is it suitable for games, or should I buy a traditional bluetooth with separate buttons for games? If so, what are some recommendations for Mice to use with a Mac?

I'm new to Macs, and this is a dumb question, but I want to ask anyway just to reassure myself. Western Digital makes a 2TB 2.5" portable hard drive. The Mac version is $219, and the PC version is $165. Is there any difference in these drives, (besides the drive formatting) or is it just charging more for the Mac version because they think Mac users will pay more for the same thing? I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but I need a good case for my rMBP. I need a hard case with some kind of internal padding. I travel in helicopters quite a bit, and you generally aren't allowed any kind of "carry-on" luggage, so everything gets thrown in the baggage compartment. I.E. my Macbook could be underneath 3 suitcases or fall out of the baggage compartment when the door is opened. Ideally I'd like something not too much bigger than the MBP. As someone who hasn't ever followed Mac hardware before, how often do they refresh Macbook hardware? Once a year like everything else?

I just bought an Apple TV. I'm having a problem. I have a Cisco/Linksys E2500 dual-band Wireless-N router, (http://home.cisco.com/en-eu/products/routers/E2500) I am using it with a 15" MBP Retina. When I try to do airplay mirroring or load my iTunes library, it skips/lags/freezes up. I tried connecting the Apple TV to the router directly with an ethernet cable, which made airplay mirroring work great. However, when I try to load my iTunes library, it says I must be connected to the same network as the library for Home Sharing. Summary: Over wifi, Apple TV can connect to my iTunes library, but its very laggy and Airplay mirroring barely loads/freezes. With Apple TV over ethernet, airplay mirroring works great, but I can't connect to my iTunes library. Any ideas?
