Kazerad how does it feel to know that any popular creative endeavor undertaken by humanity will be masturbated to now that one of your works has undergone this process?

His isn't really a fair example. Prequel's fate was sealed the moment it was about a catgirl.

My cat was raised by dogs (long story) and she actually does wag her tail when she's happy. It's kind of endearing :3:

I like the absail thing because when Katia looks it up, she's at the very beginning of the dictionary, at what looks like the end of the A section. That was neat attention to detail.

Hmm. Perhaps a slight shift in topic. So how do you guys think things will go wrong at the guild? There are so many possibilities...

Katia gets a little too overcharged with magicka, and then someone makes a particularly witty cat burn.

If Lucy let Charlie Brown kick the football where would the joke be?

The difference being Charlie didn't start having a life/identity crisis when he tripped and dropped a couple hundred gold worth of wine after escaping a collapsing ruin. It's all fun and games until someone starts breaking down.

I can understand constantly putting Katia down - I've never played Oblivion, but I hear it starts with the PC in chains in a dungeon? That would probably be the very lowest Katia could possibly drop to, so if she's really the main character in Oblivion and this really is her prequel to that adventure, then it would make sense for things to start looking up for her during her time in the main game. Nonetheless, it's difficult to savor any victory when they're constantly offset by catastrophes (doh hoh hoh i did a thing)

Sometimes, I think Kaz has plants in the readers and he just PMs them to say something so he has plausible deniability to progress the story he wants to. I know that's a silly and shallow thought, though.

I hope this doesn't end it tears, but retribution. Swift vengeance is a good confidence-builder.

Were the animations for Katia's feet hitting the ground and for her epic round-the-corner swing reused from when she was escaping the roadside ruin? Or were they re-drawn?

Either way, it's a neat visual storytelling tactic - she's been in this same situation before. She tried something new, things looked up, then came barreling back down again, and those animations are callbacks to the idea. Goes well with the whole "circle-story" thing Kaz went on about earlier.

Even better: every time Katia takes a step (e: after around the seventh step, by my count), scroll back up. A new user command will appear. She even interacts with some of them.

Holy poo poo, Kazerad.

I like how the text gets more offset the more emphasis Vaermina puts into her words. It's a nice touch.

So is the post by "Self-Loathing" a little bit by Kazerad himself, or is it someone who made an account on the MSPA forums for that purpose?

As I understand it, some people really get into role-playing as Katia's subconscious and name themselves after parts of her psyche, so their commands will show up as "[Katia's] Self-Loathing".

Or maybe it's just that one guy :v: Either way, it's not Kaz.

Not a real update, but Kaz put up the side story that was previously included with the merch shipments in printed form. He also didn't actually put a link to it anywhere on the site.

This must involve TES lore, which I'm not especially familiar with, so I don't get it.

Also, why is it in black and white?
