In P3 I could do an entire section of the Tartarus as soon as it was available in one night leaving me the rest of the month to hang out with friends, working on my stats and scoring chicks. P4 was a total drag and since the time slot for the Midnight Channel was the same slot for a LOT of S. Links I was often doing the dungeon in the nick of time and merely to advance the plot. Wow, I'm in the minority. I really enjoyed all the cast of P3 while the Investigation Team didn't do anything to me. I mean, they're fun and everything but I didn't feel a connection with them.

Exactly, still I felt more natural and relatable the interaction between SEES than the Investigation Team. Granted, I'm kind of a cynical bastard so that influenced how I saw the dynamic in P4.

I remember that when Raidou 2 was released, Atlus said that the lack of voice acting was a stylistic choice to give the game a feeling of a old time movie. Probably bullshit of course, but it's a good reason of any.

There's a few options for that, on the bf3 there's a terminal and a heal spot. There you can revive your demons, the Sawamura Thai on Shibahama Core offers the same services but I think is pricey there and lastly, you can buy revival beads on Rx and Effects

Since we're talking about Soul Hackers a few questions Is there anything more to do after beating Beelzebub? Aside of filling the compendium and grinding to lvl 99 of course. You can't have a General and a Hero at the same time on your team or summoning a Zoma from the compendium, right? Any tips with the incredibly awesome fight with the Raidous

I'm one of these weirdos that absolutely loved the P3 cast and simply felt apathetic to the P4 one, for some reason I felt more invested on the former. Making the P4 S. Links since the beginning didn't help since their character development was ignored in favor the plot's favor.

I also liked being able to specifically fuse certain demons to each other. Endless searching just feels like more effort to me. (and including the compendium doesn't help much, since it costs so much and macca is rare on the ground) And the password system makes very easy to farm sources, you'll be suffering for money keeping certain degree of balance so you don't break the game in half (at least t the beginning). I don't remember how exactly but I ended with an Asura with Victory Cry in midgame, after carefully planning I passed that onto everyone of my demons making a lot easier to advance on the game.

While SMT4 story has really great moments and a lot of twists on the end, the fact that is Japan-centric kind of turn me off (specially on the neutral route), but I loved the worldwide angle on SJ and felt better handled the law and chaos factions there.

Ibram Gaunt posted:I'm not quite sure that the SMT series is for you if being "Japan-Centric" is a negative. I don't think it's a negative, but is kind of odd how they're talking about bringing a new era for all the humanity when in the end everything's focused on Tokyo and the rest of the world is stuck on a limbo. At least on Nocturne you have they handwaved the fact with the vortex world. In the end, I just loved SJ setting and implications for the franchise. And truth be told, the series' appeal for me is the clever use of the world's mythology and the moral choices present on it's plot.

El Belmondo posted:Put your MC's points into Agility/Dexterity. Demon cards work like demons in regular SMT, and are used for fusion rather than Persona x Persona. Returning a persona to Igor at max rank gives you an item for it. Personae with Megido are super useful. You can use items to fuse skills onto personae, so fusing high level spells onto low level personae is a good way to get samerecarm/mediarama for cheap healing. You can also cheese the game by spending a lot of time on the casino and grinding for prizes there seriously, you can get there a persona that will do getting another totally irrelevant.
