So here it is, after 5 months and recovering from a corrupted save I've finally finished this prick of a map.

It's called the The Return and will be my last adventure map. 4eva

Readme stuff:
If you are going to be playing this map on a multiplayer server, please make sure that it is set up to use the Nether.

This time around there are no notes to read - instead ingame maps replace these notes.

Play time should take 60 mins (or there abouts)

Can be played with 1-2 players

Also, you might notice a sapling and some bone marrow in your inventory when you begin the game. DO NOT REMOVE THESE ITEMS - they are part of the story!

Do you have a "Program Files (x86)" folder in addition to regular-rear end Program Files? I'm fairly sure the one with x86 on the end is only there on 64-bit Windows.

If you can live with being a bit of a wuss, turn it to peaceful and make a compass. Then build/dig your way to the surface and go home. Otherwise, do that but also fight off monsters while you do it.

Minecraft is a product that is sold commercially, whether Notch calls it "released" or not.
