Has there even been any sign of him since their last show? I've seen Deaner around a bunch online but seems like Gene just dropped off the face of the earth this year.

I don't think that's really a "this year" thing, Gener seems to just keep to himself in general. I only got into Ween in ~2015 but as long as I've been following em it's been like it is now: decent online presence from Deaner, nothing from Gener.

Yeah it's been that way forever pretty much. Deaner has always been the one to interact with fans and handle the online stuff since at least the late 90s.

I guess that's true, it just seems more quiet since he's not releasing music or playing out anywhere.

aaron was somewhat active on twitter around 2016 for a while there. i remember him posting something on the day that prince died, but he promptly deleted it. he mostly just posted youtube links to cool music.

my guess is he is really loving depressed, and combined with having relapsed, doesn't want to be seen or heard by anyone. it is a really lovely place to be in.

hah oh wait wtf, he is still tweeting poo poo recently

In olden times, there was a message board just for ween fans (weenforum) that would have made SA mods blush. Both Gene and Deen posted under alts (miggy and taer).
It may be lost in time now, but it did not go well (triggered or at least liveposted the original breakup). That's when Gene kinda quit the fanbase. I think he asked the mods to delete all his posts.

There was a guy who just posted pics of his turds.

Ngl I'm kinda confused as to what this is and how it relates to Ween? You wrote the music or performed it? If that's your first time making music that's pretty impressive!

I’m watching It’s Pat: The Movie (1994) on Blu-ray disc, and I was blindsided by the presence of Ween.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcHTVcx3OVE

I haven’t seen this since the 90s but I had no idea what a Ween was back then. Anyway the film is bad, don’t watch it. But watch that Ween scene above. I guess if you need it in HD (and you wanna see their reprise in the finale) you can buy the Blu-ray disc from Kino Lorber here. But you should probably buy other films instead.

It's Pat was directed by Adam Bernstein, who also directed the music video for "Push th' Little Daisies" (and also several They Might Be Giants videos).

Man, I was hoping it was Quentin Tarantino polishing up the script thinking to himself "This movie needs to be browner."

This is the conundrum where it’s cool to see a debut vs. you could have seen them play a much better song than Cornbread Red
