Man, what a sad state of affairs. Been a Ween fan since '92 when I randomly heard a couple of songs off God Ween Satan on the radio; more or less kept up with the albums after that. Got to see them live in... must have been 2003, when Quebec was fresh. Pretty surreal experience; it was a great show and a good crowd, but a sizeable fraction of the crowd were there, I think, due to free tickets given away by the venue to mark an anniversary or something, and didn't necessarily know anything about Ween. So about two-thirds of the crowd were rocking the gently caress out and singing along etc. while the last third were standing around going "WTF? I mean, really, WTF?" It was a good time.
