Picked up a turntable recently after not having one forever, and found these in my stash of vinyl from the 90s. Totally forgot I picked them up.

Now I want to track down a bunch more Ween 45s

Well poo poo, just got an email that I did not get tickets in the lottery. Now the fun of trying to get tickets on Friday.

It looks like another presale for 3-day tickets is happening at 10am mountain time today.

e: or not, needed a special code to get in

Was able to get two tickets for Saturday and Sunday. I HAD 3 day pass tickets in my cart, but the website hosed up and ended my session during checkout.

Gonna be driving out from Nebraska, so no airfare to worry about, but I'd better get the hotel booked now.

Hopefully this is an actual reunion, and not just a one-off set of shows. Would really love to see a full tour (every year forever)

I'm flying out tomorrow afternoon and ready to have some fun in advance of the show. We'll be doing some brewery tours, bar hopping and store shopping.

Somehow I got roped into going to an orchid exhibition on one of the days.

I wouldn't count on it, that's a pretty expensive thing to pull off for a band this size.

That setlist is missing a few songs. After Laura was Zoloft then Doctor Rock. And the encore was Pollo Asado and Demon Sweat.

Show was incredible, I've seen Ween over 20 times and that was definitely one of the best I've seen from them. Sound in that arena is atrocious, but they overcame that to put on an amazing show anyway.

Yeah I think it's fair to say this is Ween at their best, everybody was loving killing it on stage.

Actually had a run-in with them the night before the show. My GF and I had split from Duran Duran early to beat the rush, and got some tips on good bars from some local lady on the way out. Stopped for a bite and then headed to a titty bar the lady had suggested, and after we barely got situated in walks the band plus road crew sans Gene and sits down in front of us. I was a bit starstruck but GF has a talent for breaking the ice so we got to making as much small talk as you can make in a noisy strip joint. Mickey ordered us a round and everyone was super friendly and nice.

Thanks random Portland lady!

They are super down to earth guys, and always happy to chill with fans in my experience. Had a couple of epic nights partying with the band at Harrah's casino in Omaha after their shows there. Claude banged my youngest brothers date lol.

They could have at least got a room, doing it on stage seems pretty crass.

Love this quote from the Rolling Stone interview:

Deaner posted:

The record wouldn't be the same without 'Gum.' But it's one of those songs that I think I might skip. That's me, if I was listening to my own record. But it has to be on there. It takes up valuable real estate on the record for a reason. It's like, 'OK, do you think we're not capable of making the same kind of music we did in 1990 or '89?' 'Cause if anything, I'm just as pathetic in 2016 and still make sad-rear end tunes like this.

Ween is always best when you can stumble home afterwards. My favorite show of all time was seeing Ween shortly after Mollusk came out, at a real seedy dance hall type club literally a block and a half from my (at the time) front door.

Have you seen Primus live before? They've killed it every time I've seen them live (about 8x). Granted $100 is a lot more than I've ever paid to see them, and I also agree that DWG are fun, but it doesn't really touch Ween.
