I didn't see any mention of The Depreciation Guild. They've (fairly recently) broken up, but they did a great job of melding shoegaze with 8-bit/chiptune sounds.

I'd also classify some of Atlas Sound's stuff as shoegaze. It's at least way spacier than any of Bradford Cox's Deerhunter stuff.

I just found out from posting this though, that the singer died early this year. drat, that sucks, she had a great voice. :smith:

I saw Nothing, a Philly shoegaze band, a couple weeks ago on tour with Whirr and enjoyed their stuff. I was particularly impressed with their drummer, who does a lot of interesting fills among relatively standard shoegaze drone, but they have a good sound and energy.
