I didn't see any mention of The Depreciation Guild. They've (fairly recently) broken up, but they did a great job of melding shoegaze with 8-bit/chiptune sounds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmYJE2NvjzM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tQm3-iEGIc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAmW7BPZWYo I'd also classify some of Atlas Sound's stuff as shoegaze. It's at least way spacier than any of Bradford Cox's Deerhunter stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwjUyrp7-aI I saw him open for Broadcast a couple years back too, who kind of went back and forth between chiptune dreampop and 60s-influenced psychedelia: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kr2473XpG98 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kfm_vQYqGLk I just found out from posting this though, that the singer died early this year. drat, that sucks, she had a great voice.

I saw Nothing, a Philly shoegaze band, a couple weeks ago on tour with Whirr and enjoyed their stuff. I was particularly impressed with their drummer, who does a lot of interesting fills among relatively standard shoegaze drone, but they have a good sound and energy. http://a389recordings.bandcamp.com/album/a389-112-nothing-downward-years-to-come-12
