Bands can do that? I was under the impression the label plans and controls touring

There are a million factors in booking a tour. That's just one variant.

I was never enjoying it. I only eat it for the nutrients.
I'm not saying this is what's happening here, but when this sort of stuff happens between two bands for seemingly nonsensical reasons, sometimes there's credible rumors circling about one band or its members that the other band doesn't want to be attached to, but also doesn't want to repeat the rumors directly

I just went to day two of Epic Fest to catch two of my all-time favorites in Pagan's Mind and Crimson Glory. Pagan's Mind exceeded my high expectations (and also butchered one section of a song in such a uniquely confusing way that I'm glad I got to witness the chaos). I wasn't sure what to expect from Crimson Glory since I don't know their post-La Torre vocalist, but I got the ridiculous high notes I was hoping for and just about all the 'hits', so they were enjoyable, too.

I am now home in bed because my back found watching two out of like twelve bands on one day of a festival bill to be too taxing. Realizing that I might've bitten off more than I can chew by getting the full four-day Copenhell pass...

DIS is currently ran by "TONE" which is the vocalist's own label and artist management company thing. If they booked the tour themselves then they can do whatever they want I guess. I think there's something more going on here than them being petty and childish over Prosthetic though. :thunk:

Howdy friends, I’m seeking recommendations for good music to listen to while working. Something I can put on and I don’t really have to pay attention to lyrics. My current go-to is dungeon synth, but apparently a lot of that (on YouTube at least) is AI generated and I don’t want to support that.
Just get everything by Thangorodrim, Old Tower, Hedge Wizard and Summoning. You are now set for dungeon synth for life.

e: I actually don't consider Summoning ds. They're black metal with synths but whatever - they rule and you should buy all their albums anyway

I have no idea they are in a cyberpunk themed playlist I found though.

I would have said "industrial" and just left it there despite knowing there is likely a car more accurate subgenre

Summoning is so goddamn good. The albums I return to most often are Stronghold and Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame. But they are all great.

The DIS complaint about them is more about bad treatment than sketchiness in other ways.

USA and Canada 2025 tour update including new dates in Minneapolis and Vegas. All dates with Mizmor except highlighted and select dates with new fellow aural punishers Glassing, Minsk, Chained to the Bottom of the Ocean and Rabbit.

Meth will no longer be opening the tour due to an oversight by our small team. Although they parted ways with their label a few days ago, their records are still actively being sold and distributed, which conflicts with our position. We raised concerns early on, but unfortunately they were not acknowledged. We had a chat with the band and afterwards, it did not feel right.

We choose who we work with and it feels like a fairly basic artistic freedom to be able to do so.

Moving on, we are looking forward to the tour. We added some killer artists who we know better and who like and respect us as much as we like and respect them.
