Agreed, I listened to most of City just yesterday and that is some cathartic poo poo.

I'm not sure he's going to go off the meds and summon Strapping Young Townsend again, but even failing that I would settle for another Physicist.

Just in case anyone hasn't listened to Chris Valagao, he used to work with Devin, sounds like a stronger Devin. This one makes me laugh.

This slaps and is extremely my kind of cheese. Reminds me of early 2000s euro power metal like Steel Attack or Human Fortress. Even has a track featuring Ravenous, another awesome band that Nordick originally posted about.

Fun Shoe

Look, when Devin comes in screaming in the last third of the song, it's pretty loving cool.

But the first 2\3rds are basically the same pattern over and over again. It really needed to break that up with an epic, anthemic Devin chorus section.

Also: Ooft, that's a bad guitar sound. So goddamn honky?

Well I mean, Rav from Ravenous is the singer for Glyph as well. And the rest of the guys in Glyph are from Greyhawk and Gatekeeper.

But anyways yeah, it's a good-rear end album.

Cheers - some of the FOH people have been great others not so much, one show apparently the guy didn’t have the kicks or snare going through the mains, another show apparently the keys were blasting everyone the hell out. Very roll of the dice unfortunately, next tour hopefully we’ll have a bigger vehicle, budget, and can bring our own sound guy. Which show were you at out of curiosity?

See you in Winnipeg tomorrow!! :) I gave the album a full listen and I was addicted start to finish. :3:

I may have sent a message to Davide in Elvenking about offering to drive them around and pick up Italian deli meats that left me on "seen" status.

A portly feline wizard waddles forth, muttering something about conjured food.

I could use some earplug recommendations. I hate the disposable foam ones, so I'm looking into the fancy silicones meant for musicians & concert-goers. So far, I have two leads: Earasers and Eargasm. Looks like both are available on Amazon.

I'm more of a shoegaze/post-rock fan, but I thought I'd ask ya'll since, like metal, those kinds of bands also tend to play at excessive volumes. And this thread seems way more popular than the other two.

I think the thread go-to's are from Loop. I used them during Ministry a couple weeks back and it held up. They have different levels of noise reduction so pick what you think you'd like in a cool colour.

I have the Loop Experience.

I wish I had them during MBV - I swear it made my hearing even worse - that wall of sound.

the singer of this band does guest vocals on a vulvodynia track i really like. i can't listen to an entire song of gutalax vocals but i think they're a really cool addition to this song:
