henpod posted:One for the Devy fans: Look, when Devin comes in screaming in the last third of the song, it's pretty loving cool. But the first 2\3rds are basically the same pattern over and over again. It really needed to break that up with an epic, anthemic Devin chorus section. Also: Ooft, that's a bad guitar sound. So goddamn honky?

Very roll of the dice unfortunately, next tour hopefully we’ll have a bigger vehicle, budget, and can bring our own sound guy. Which show were you at out of curiosity? I gave the album a full listen and I was addicted start to finish. I may have sent a message to Davide in Elvenking about offering to drive them around and pick up Italian deli meats that left me on "seen" status.

I could use some earplug recommendations. I hate the disposable foam ones, so I'm looking into the fancy silicones meant for musicians & concert-goers. So far, I have two leads: Earasers and Eargasm. Looks like both are available on Amazon. I'm more of a shoegaze/post-rock fan, but I thought I'd ask ya'll since, like metal, those kinds of bands also tend to play at excessive volumes. And this thread seems way more popular than the other two.

I think the thread go-to's are from Loop. I used them during Ministry a couple weeks back and it held up. They have different levels of noise reduction so pick what you think you'd like in a cool colour. https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=ring+ear+plugs&crid=1OZTZZ28CJCZN&sprefix=ring+ea%2Caps%2C263&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_7 I have the Loop Experience. I wish I had them during MBV - I swear it made my hearing even worse - that wall of sound.
