They need to put their music on streaming so I can actually listen to it more than the 5 minutes I have via youtube.

Fear Factory live was one of the very few times i've been actually embarrassed for a band while watching them (specifically the singer)

I saw them at a fest that was mostly hardcore bands and they were the "headliner" but majority of everybody left when they came on. The place was basically empty at that point. They were playing all of their worst songs, and when one of the remaining members of the crowd yelled "play a heavy one" Bell responded with "not everybody wants to hear that."

Then rolls of toilet paper went flying towards the stage.

I've been listening to a lot of really old metal (like, Black Sabbath old) lately and I could use something completely different. What's the newest hotness genre-wise? Whose debut album rips the hardest?

It’s not exactly that but check out Vektor - Terminal Redux

The latest hotness is death metal that sounds old school but with a somewhat new school twist. Burial Invocation and Tomb Mold are two of the best examples from this year.

Yesterday in a Discord I'm in me and a few other people were discussing bass lines and I was able to link Bolt Thrower and that picture of Jo Bench from a page or so ago and it made me incredibly happy. I don't even know if they actually listened to it, but it doesn't loving matter because at least someone was talking about Bolt Thrower.

To be honest I'd shake Jo's hand too. She's cool as gently caress.

I never noticed this before, but her bassline in "Anti-Tank (Dead Armour)" kinda reminds me of an engine.

gently caress I love that song. Such good riffing.

For me it's thrash, specifically the sort of first-wave black metal/Motörhead/punk-tinged stuff.

Just lol @ having strong feelings one way or another about something so perfectly milquetoast as Ghost. Unless "Really Bored" is a strong feeling, idk. But really, when even a synthwave remix isn't enough to make your song fun or interesting, then oof.
