I'm 40 years old and listen to Slam. Every year the music I listen to get dumber and I love it. My friends listen to NPR on the way to work. Yesterday I listened to Devourment on the way to work. Sign me up.

That entire album loving rips fyi. I saw them a few years ago in Detroit, I know it's like maybe one original guy(the guitarist), but they were loving great live.

Dying Fetus announced a new tour with 200 Stabwounds and Full of Hell. Their one Michigan date is on my birthday. gently caress yeah. edit: ugh 200 Stabwounds isn't on that date. I hate when bands do this, they announce a tour and split the openers and you have to find the fine print to see who is where. I'm still going though. For some reason for the last I don't know 10+ years, I thought Necrophagist only ever released Epitaph. I have listened to Epitaph probably 100s of times, the entire time thinking this was all there was. I listened to the entire Onset of Putrefaction album twice today. wtf I am so loving dumb, but it kind of rules because I get a new Necrophagist album.

Last time I saw them live they just played lovely soft songs until the very end when they did Demon of the Fall. I'm glad they are playing the older stuff. I can't get into their newer stuff at all.
