Just saw that Running Wild got back together and put out a new album. I don't think I'm in any real hurry to get it, but it'll get got.

At least stick that thing in a cardboard sleeve or something.

Virgin Steele got an album and a double album out of it about 10-15 years ago and I liked it a lot at the time. Shame they haven't made anything listenable since.

In '97 or so I think I went to Metal Rules a lot, but music recs were a total crapshoot. I remember someone suggesting that I just had to check out Iced Earth. Ouch -- got burned on that one.

In '97 you had "Burnt Offerings" and the s/t and the regrettable Spawn thing, with "Something Wicked" a year later, which is about as good as you're going to get with Iced Earth.

Alas, they absolutely can't make a good music video. The one I remember seeing from that album looked like a highschool video club project that didn't even get a passing grade.

I kind of wish they had stuck with that Luciferan Light Orchestra side project thing.
