I bought a french press yesterday and my wife asked me to make some cold brew for us. It looks like 1:5 to 1:7 is a normal ratio. I measured out my normal amount of water (ends up being 25oz), then I started measuring out 5oz of grounds. I got a couple tablespoons into this when I realized that 5oz is exactly half of my 10oz bag of coffee. Sounds like I should start buying cheaper stuff in larger quantities.

Any recommendations for an electric kettle with a temperature controller on it? I see an Epica on Amazon for $40 which sounds like a good price to me. It has fairly good reviews but I've never heard of the brand. I'd like to keep it under $50 if that's possible. Also, any reason to spend more than $15 on a pour over thing? Sometimes I just want one cup of coffee before work and those things look like they'd be perfect for a quick cup!

Looks like I'm getting a clever dripper, thanks for the recommendations!
