Really liked the history podcasts mentioned, 12 Byzantine Rulers, The Chinese History Podcast (The 8 part series on Deng seemed like a really good over view of how modern China got to where it is), and the Russian Rulers podcast (Vlad the greats life story is a comic book).

For cooking podcasts America's Test Kitchen started doing a podcast and I really think of them as the gold standard of cooking shows. The really focus on the science of cooking and make an effort to do recipes that are good and reasonable to do.

I like The Naked Scientist and wonder if their are other podcasts with their format? A broad overview of science with interviews of scientists/engineers.
