Thanks for the suggestions, all.

Honestly if you've already listened to few episodes and don't like it, it's probably just not up your ally. One is generally as good as the other. I haven't listened to the back catalog yet, and I rarely feel like I'm missing out on a lot of inside jokes. Really, you either think killing your family in a plane crash (twice) is funny, or you don't.

I've been listening to the early episodes a lot lately and then listened to one from a couple of weeks ago last night. It seems like Jonathan's "radio voice" has improved quite a bit since the beginning.

Love that they did a deep cut and brought back jail fights (and that Jonathan doesn't know who Aaron Paul is). Only things missing were who's been spotted laughing and slapping lately, and the haunting "This Week in Florida" theme music.

This week I actually went back to the beginning and started listening from episode 1 again. I've listened to them all at least once before, but goddam the show emerged just about fully formed from the very beginning. I kind of miss the slightly rawer, casually homophobic, casually racist 2006 Jah. His bit from episode 5 about interracial porn being the best of all worlds except for the intimidation that strikes him whenever the black dude talks is absolute gold.

Speaking of clips, I imagine everyone's already heard it, but it's part of the episode my friend showed me as a "listen to this loving podcast." Always a fun one to go back to

Listened to this ep again recently, this story may be peak UYD.

I mean the production stills came out years ago

Seth had a girlfriend a few years back, because people posted photos of them in this thread, and she was mentioned on the show a couple of times, but think they broke up.

The boys do have a subtle but fairly definite dividing line between stuff they do and don't talk about on the show though. Like, even Jonathan has been divorced, married and divorced during the run of the show and didn't really mention any of those until quite a bit later.

Seth's adopted black grandson is all grown up and committed to play BBall at Pepperdine next year. Life comes at you fast.

Yeah I went back to the beginning too for the first time since maybe 4 years ago and holy poo poo. I forgot how much they say retard, retarded, human being, etc all in super negative connotations. Dropping hard r's too not in reference to anything like hip hop song of the week. I'm only on episode 15 and Jon has called someone or something a "retarded human being" probably 50 times it feels like. Episodes are super solid even from episode 1, but it's pretty jarring just listening along and 5 time an episode Jon jumpscares me with his angry human being tongue. 2006 was a good time

Look for it only in archives, for it is no more than a dream remembered, an Internet gone with the wind...

Does anybody remember those few "Whooo is Amir?" segments they did earlier in the show, mabe somewhere in the 100-300 range? At the time they kind of acted like it was a precursor to something, I wonder if they considered having him on in a non-musical capacity at some point?

The foundational premise of Uhh Yeah Dude has always been "our culture and our world are changing so fast that we can ever hope to keep up with it or comprehend it, and we're all doomed to be old and gay". Their worldview is actually pretty conservative (though I'm sure they'd blanch at that description), except that their goal isn't to fight a changing world, it's just to learn to live in it and try not to be lovely.
