BACKDOOR LOVERS: The Incredible Mr. Fix-It  Our exploration of failed spinoffs continues as we look into a Golden Girls spinoff that actually did make it to the air... kind of! Behold the shockingly mean sitcom EMPTY NEST, which is sort of a spinoff of Golden Girls but not really because THAT pilot was totally different and also sucked, but in a totally different way than how this show sucks. Also Full house is involved and Hollywood legend Rita Moreno is deeply disrespected. BACKDOOR LOVERS: Basic Training at Fort Sandals  Okay look let me tell you up front: This episode spends a LOT of time talking about Marty's scrotum. And then it spends even more time talking about the Dukes of Hazzard. You can decide which is more unpleasant. It's the Duke boys and their new friend Mason Dixon, P.I. No... no that can't be right. They seriously named the guy "Mason Dixon?" Okay that's not a good start.

Hey gang! I used to do a podcast with my (ex)partner where we and a guest(s) read through a Choose Your Own Adventure book. The guests make the choices, and when it's over the episode is over. I'm doing it solo now, and have a few episodes since my last update. I've got two more in the can to be edited. There's no scheduled release date for these things at this point, they're strictly just a hobby thing of mine. Each episode is on average about twenty-five minutes but it varies. Vilemoon) As someone who really only knew CAD due to Loss and the general knowledge of it being a ripoff of Penny Arcade, I really enjoyed these two episodes! Also, as someone who used to live in Hartford and well remember seeing the ConnectiCon crowds downtown every July, I can't believe I missed my chance to see him in person at the only venue he appears at.

two big releases this week - the Season Finale of Midnight Pals kicks off when Roger Corman, who sounds suspiciously like Bobby Duke from Scaredy Cats, pitches Edgar Allen Poe on a movie version of The Tell-Tale Heart. The proposed movie features Poe housesitting for JK Rowling, which is ruined when Stephen King and the Rock Bottom Remainders show up to put on a show. Awards are smashed, the house is trashed, people are showering in their underwear and Dean Koontz stays up past his bedtime. Truly one for the ages and nearly guaranteed to get us sued by Rowling.
