Have they said how the Courier’s Stash will work? Do they dump all 4 packs into your inventory at the game start, or does a menu come up that lets you select them?

But what if I already have, say, three of the four preorder item sets already? Can I chose the fourth as my Courier's Stash set, but keep the other three?

ClearAirTurbulence posted:Probably don't want to keep Cass on an NCR playthrough, as her quests conflict with a pro-NCR one if you give her to the Van Graffs, they betray the Legion and start supplying weapons to the NCR. Actually, you get an even better NCR ending if you do Cass' quest peacefully, and never clear out the Van Graffs after completing the quest: the NCR uses the information you get from the Van Graffs and the Crimson Caravan Company to blackmail them both. Then they use them to strengthen their position in the Mojave and pass trade laws to restrict them from doing anything. And, if you steal the Gun Runner's design stuff for the Crimson Caravan, the Gun Runners wipe out the Van Graffs and CC once NCR's done with them. And I get that fire is a form of energy; I think my problem is that I'm classifying weapon types by their ammo. Most energy weapons use either SECs, MFCs and ECPs all of which strike me as batteries. The fuel tank seems more like a volatile material that is weaponized on ignition.

Once the deathclaws reach the player invisible marked men pour in from the flanks." Once I got to the rest stop I was basically ready to be done with LR altogether. Allow me to make a case for how much I love F:NV This is my character. I'm not what you'd call a fighter. In fact, I'm probably a buck fifty soaking wet, and I've got a glass jaw. I'm just here to have a good time, man. Other folks get their deep pockets turned out at casinos and give up rocket launchers, miniguns, assault carbines. Me? I get out of trouble with my mouth. You can't help but like me, or at least laugh me off as not a credible threat. Look man, that's okay too. With 10 luck and 10 charisma, who needs to even have strength of four? gently caress, let Raul tuck a gat. Let Veronica bust her knuckles. Gotta keep my hands soft to count caps, baby. But sometimes poo poo does go sideways in the Mojave. Sometimes you can't just be a suave motherfucker and make it rain at Gomorrah. Sometimes, somebody's got it out for you. And that's about when you find out just how much damage you can do with pistols only, hand loads, and more drugs than Hunter Thompson takes. Guess how much fixer I keep in my inventory? None, motherfuckers. Fixer is for quitters. Do ballers who loft their bed on gold ingots take Fixer? No they do not. Also I never had sex with Fisto or Beatrix seven times. Never no sir.

I'm excited to see this new thread pop up! I just picked up New Vegas for the first time and started playing it about a week ago. I looked around for suggestions but couldn't find any one recommending what order to play the DLC in, or whether there are any great lulls in the main story where heading off on a DLC quest would fit in nicely. I know the DLC have level recommendations, but I'm less concerned about that, and more concerned about how their stories fit together and where they best plug into the main game. Right now I'm level 10 and just finished up everything there is to do in Novaac, about to continue pursuing the man in the checkered jacket.

Do you continue to launch it through Steam or make a shortcut to the Launcher and run it directly? I know I could just try it but I really don't want to screw my Steam installation.

To be honest, i'm really pumped about doing the Legion quests. I did the first part of 'Render Unto Caesar' for shits and giggles, and Caeser is loving Rawls from the Wire. I just HAVE to do quests for that gaping rear end in a top hat. I've gone far enough into the NCR's quests though where i'm gonna knock off the Legion quests until my next playthrough so I don't risk their good graces, i'm OCD about either going full good or full evil. This is Bitey Jim. (That's a pile of Human Remains, Strange Meat and other... erm, parts.) Bitey Jim was a different man back when he was a courier but getting shot in the head does strange things to people. Sometimes it makes a man strange. Tearing people apart limb from limb with his bare hands, chopping them to pieces and doing an enormous amount of drugs along the way, Bitey Jim is now working for himself and is willing to watch the Mojave burn to get what he wants. The NCR currently hates him, the Legion thinks he's insane, most of the gangs want him dead, but Jim thinks they're all delicious. When there's no more killing to be done, he tilts back a few with Raul. Did I say a few? I meant a lot. (Dat's a lotta booze!)

Dead Man Posting, good work on the OP and all, and I hate to be pedantic, but I was thinking it might benefit from some kind of general FAQ. The only reason I mention it is because questions like "Which are the best DLCs?" "What order should I do the DLCs in?" "Is there post-ending open-world gameplay?" "I've never played fallout before what stats are good and what skills HELP" and etc seemed to come up every few pages in the last one. Since the idea behind a new OP is to help new peeps, I figured it might help, sorry if I'm bein' a jerk

I could never kill Three Dog because hearing him being increasingly outraged about my evil expoits was much funnier, especially when I would give a bunch of money to beggars, so it would always be something like "And now, a little bit more about our friend from Vault 101, the angelic saviour sent to save us all. Lord Caesar I come bearing news of a most urgent nature! Just kidding! Imma eat your face now mmkay? Odysseus journeyed the wastes taking poo poo from nobody and beating anyone who looked at him funny to death with his bare hands. Robots are made of metal. So after some minor corrective surgery and journeying to the far reaches of the Mojave and beyond, he decided to use someone else's hands instead. To remember the fallen, he places a bottle cap on each of their eyes. Unless he ate their eyes... or he can't find the head. That happens more often than you might think.
