I have a megalomaniacal psychopathic character who was basically Caesar's pit-bull until it came time to play her own cards and take over the strip and turn it into a giant lab for human experimentation with the Protectrons as her loyal servants. But I still recognise that, if we can even talk about evil as a thing (which I don't think we can in seriousness, but let's just say), Caesar's Legion is it. Fiends are evil, Caesar is a deluded tyrant.

Talking about making friends, I just got Private Halford into my party with my new character due to some weird bug... or perhaps he is a secret companion! If that's the case I can't wait to do his personal quest and gain a neat perk heh.

My girlfriend finally started playing this game and jesus christ she sure is the explorer type. By level 6 she had already discovered the Dead Money starting zone, Sloan, Black Mountain and the Legion Safe Bunker. Teaching the game to her really makes me appreciate New Vegas even more. Glad to see so many goons siding with Mr. House. In my book it's either side with him or go anarchy. gently caress NCR and gently caress the Legion. Ps: My girlfriend just found the Paladin Toaster on her first run on the game, what the christ? She didn't know it was very effective against armor and discarded it as a meh weapon untill I proceeded to melt the robots at Hellion with it.

It is a big and steaming pile of corruption, incompetence and stagnating poo poo. It Don't get me wrong, there are many good and cool guys all around NCR but the head is rotten and I might be simplistic but when the head is rotten there is nothing to do but chop it. I don't know if it was intentional from Obsidian but I was totally pro-NCR on Fallout 2 and every single time I play New Vegas it pains me to see what a horrible crap it has become. If there was a choice where you join a revolutionary coup from inside NCR I would do it. Check Thomas Hildern, he IS a ruthless and cold motherfucker AND he doesn't give no fucks about anyone. People treat House like poo poo and they are ok with leaving that bastard on charge. I will never side with them. It has everything I despise and I'm supposed to take it and shove it because they have the "good values of society". I might be taking the game too seriously but as a Peruvian (southamerican) I know when I see a corrupt government trying to finger me pretending they are the good guys. It could be worse tho, I could be Arcade. turboraton fucked around with this message at 10:11 on Jan 16, 2013 |

I'm really amazed at how everyone oppose Caesar's Legion brutality with NCR's deep corruption. If you really want to preserve -*freedom*- values you should just go anarchy because NCR is rotten. I know I'm like 3 pages late but everytime I catch up I read almost the same. On a side note, my girlfriend just started OWB and found Ulysses Point in 30 mins. WHAT. She is also murdering everything with Proton Axe.

After watching my gf playing Vegas so much I have decided to do another run. This time I'll be a post-punk/whatever girl addicted to jet going for anarchy in Vegas. After a long hiatus im doing another run on New Vegas. First time using Jsawyer mod and I LOVE IT. Paired with hardcore and very hard gives you a new experience. I play my games with jsawyer, very hard and hardcore. On this run I sided with powder gangers, put Meyers as the major. Explosives are vital early on and so is survival / some alcohool for the buffs. Yeah I'm with Wolfsheim on that one, I just can't enjoy New Vegas if I'm #YoloSwag420 and I noscope everyone in 1 shot.

My girlfriend has started to use mines, c4 and plenty of explosives in order to beat Dead Money. I won't lie, watching her frustration is fantastic. She has bonded with Christine tho and she finally entered the casino. I remember that happened to me the very first time I played jsawyer with hardcore and very hard. I had to carefully play and call my shots, I really enjoyed it.

I believe Dean Domino is a fantastic character. He is evil an HE knows it, gently caress he knew when he was becoming one from just being a regular douche and he said "Doesnt matter, I will get what I want". The fact that the game even offers you the chance to finally let him go of his curse-vengeance so he can start again in New Vegas is just... awesome. And I admit that I just like House too much, everytime I roleplaying for another faction, it just get too hard for me to kill him. When he asks me "why" I feel like just closing my eyes and unplugging him with regret. turboraton fucked around with this message at 06:38 on Aug 10, 2013 |

Keeshhound posted:Ulysess is a hypocrite, but it's more that he's mistakenly asserting that symbols have an inherent meaning. To the White Legs, the dreadlocks were a symbol of their patron, which they adopted to show their allegiance. To Ulysess, they were a reminder of his long-dead tribe, and he asserts that that was the only meaning it could have, hence he gets pissy about it. He has some other blatantly hypocritical moments, like how he lambastes the courier for not giving thought to the consequences of trivial actions, when his own actions have had consequences far beyond what he intended or expected. You mean that he is human. If there is one thing I cherish about New Vegas is how it show us human stories, full of inconsistencies and almost contradictory points of views. Because if you live long enough and you get to see plenty of things that give you perspective and a LOT of characters on the game have that. Man, everytime I read this thread I want to reinstall the game and do one more run. Killing those NCR fuckers of course.

If you agree to work with him then yeah he seems to know what he's doing, but it's really just you doing all the work. But if you accidentally murder him like I did on my first play-through then he comes off as a dingus who failed to get an idiot savant mailwoman to do his bidding after his first choice betrayed him because he couldn't be bothered to tell her "HEY! Don't touch that terminal! That's what keeps me alive!" and then she killed him with a golf club.
