Tokyo Diner in Chinatown is made of awesome. http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/venue/2%3A15374/tokyo-diner Free bigger portions of rice, bottomless green tea and possibly the best chicken katsu I have ever tasted. I am still trying to remember the name of a place a visitor from America took me (I live in London, but he has been visiting for more years than I have been alive) - it was attached to a hotel, looked way out of my price range but was actually in the £30 range without wine, and served rare breed pork that was like tasting the god of pigs.
