It's an Altered Beast-esque action platformer where the protag can transform into various kinds of monsters. Altered Beast's original title is 獣王記, "Chronicles of the Beast King", so the similar titles makes them very natural to compare to each other. The gameplay is very different though in that Majuou is a jump'n shoot and actually pretty good. It's also not easy and the way you power up somewhat opaque. This should be interesting.
