Being that the fan club ticket lottery has now opened for the 20th anniversary event in Saitama, does anyone have any guidance on how one would manage to get tickets for an international person (ie outside Japan)? It's easy enough to translate webpages but it seems like you need a Lawson Web account, and a specific ticketing app, and obviously a local domestic Japanese mailing address and mobile number for ticket delivery. Is there a process for this for foreigners?

It's just in the lottery phase for Fan Club members now, but you information is correct. If you 'win' a ticket, you need to print it at a Loppi machine. Servers are down ATM. Saitama challenge #1 will be Punchout! That makes for an over 10 year grudge with this game. Season 27 premieres with Final Fantasy Adventure on the GameBoy.

Got a Super Arino ticket in the lottery for the Saitama Event. Wanted the Premium Seat, but given some stuff going on, I may not be able to go at all, so oh well, I guess.

Caught a bit of editing trickery on the part of the studio: at about the 26:30 mark, they show Arino dying, then the game over screen, but there's a quick flash that shows he actually had two lives left over at that point. Presumably his next two deaths weren't as photogenic.

Thank you for the new release! The color palette/design of some of the levels made things pretty tough to see at times, I don't think I could've done any better than Arino did.

Thank you for the new release! Good fun. Seeing Bomberman being played always makes me wonder what the game I played as a little kid was. I definitely remember it having the same mechanics as Bomberman has, with the same power ups and same or similar enemies. Red balloons and yellow coins for sure. The thing is, I played it on my mum's PC with like Windows 98 or MAYBE 95, and the color palette, from what I remember, was closer to something like Sonic with bright colors, rather than the muted colors you see on early Bomberman games. It was 2D and I think the splash screen/main menu might have had a white castle in the background, maybe? No idea if it was on the PC or a website, though I feel like it would've been on the PC itself, as I don't think the PC had internet, unlike my dad's.

Holy crap, that actually should be right. I've been wondering about what in the world the game could have been for the past, like, almost 20 years. I never thought about the possibility of it being a rebranded and reimaged version of the actual original Bomberman. Thanks a lot! A mystery of a lifetime, solved!
