A long shot, but...

I've seen a couple users in here talk about the GCCX Channel (GCCXCh) app back in the day. Does anyone have this content still? Not asking for files, just been looking for a definitive listing of the content and finding it hard.

Even if nobody's stockpiled the content, is there perhaps a Japanese fan site that lists this material that I'm unaware of, or any other resource online that documents it?

I am aware the "best" of the material made it to the Continue special magazine's bonus DVD.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I would blow Dane Cook posted:

there's a fairly new torrent on nyaa with a huge stash of untranslated stuff, is it in there?

I think that's all DVD stuff. I was wondering if anywhere has a list of the app contents. Especially since it's long since closed down.

I thought I was shadow banned or something, one visit to the show's site proves it.

For those unaware, the way you can find out early about the upcoming episodes are two-fold.

First, the next episode to air is teased by the text at the end of the current episode with an abstract hint. For those so-inclined, the GCCX pastebin, which I won't link here, adds a translation of that hint to its episode list as a tentative placeholder for the upcoming episode soon after the hint has had its premiere broadcast.

However, the show's official Japanese website will reveal the game to be challenged in the forthcoming episode, one week ahead of broadcast. You can browse the broadcast schedule for new episodes (as well as repeat broadcasts of episodes from within the current season/year).

Closer to the broadcast date, the show's official twitter will also share posts that announce the upcoming episode's challenge game once it's been revealed on the official site. Although Twitter is in a somewhat precarious situation at the moment so your mileage may vary.

Being that the fan club ticket lottery has now opened for the 20th anniversary event in Saitama, does anyone have any guidance on how one would manage to get tickets for an international person (ie outside Japan)?

It's easy enough to translate webpages but it seems like you need a Lawson Web account, and a specific ticketing app, and obviously a local domestic Japanese mailing address and mobile number for ticket delivery. Is there a process for this for foreigners?

Maybe the current sub groups will do the Super Mario Bros 3 Nintendo challenge?

But there's still so many episodes and specials left unsubbed.

I'm up to the Pilotwings in Iwate episode in my viewing soon and I know the sub is really low-res. Does anyone have a raw file in a higher res, even SD is okay. Whoever collects raws, hit me up in DMs?

Kakaricho posted:

For older episodes, there's no high quality raws, the Yuji Horii interview is a good example of this.

Ah I see. It's a shame some better sources haven't turned up all this time later. But thanks for letting me know.

Acer Pilot posted:

I'll be popping by the Tokyo Game Show next month, are there any plans for a GCCX booth?

There will be a booth. And there’s several already announced (to the Fanclub at least) merch goods planned. The less common or more unique ones are a light up Arino acrylic stand, a shirt with Japanese gaming artwork from Nina, and then a “20th anniversary” shirt that I think lists all the ADs. M, L, XL on the shirts. But from the popularity of the program they tend to sell out of the good stuff pretty quickly.
