DMC3 and Godhand have incredibly good gameplay. Heck, you actually need to get good and improve at playing the game to get anywhere, let alone win. The combat system is unforgiving, but once you have the hang of it you can absolutely slaughter the enemies while looking cheezily cool. It took me all of university to complete Godhand and get halfway through DMC3 royal guard style, poo poo seeing this is making me want to pick it up all over again. I mention Godhand because it shares an OTT style and surprisingly deep combat mechanics along with a game you actually need to learn to get good at, whilst at the same time making you want to do so.
