Another extremely entertaining episode of TGUS. Anyone not watching is missing out. There wasn't even a SIARPC, just 42 minutes of hilarity.

The episode where the boys have to buy a super luxury car for the same price (or less) as the Nissan Pixo is on BBCA. Any idea if they'll tell us how they did in the long run?

Was just watching that. IIRC, a couple episodes later they brought it up again, they both had lolmassive repairs.

Still want the 850.

It did take some decent damage. You could see it back at the studio. They filmed the final sequence before it took the hit.

Also, really looking forward to the next season of TGUSA. Did Rutledge say if they were going to change the format at all? Their run-time is tragically short for all the content they try to include.

They really need to drop SIARPC. The episodes they've had without it have been much better.

My favorite part was the look on Rut's face when Adam was bouncing the Mustang up that really tough rocky hill. The one where the whole front end went up and down like a lowrider.

I would have loved to see a better conclusion showing what condition the two cars left were in. What was left of the suspensions, etc.

Yup it was a fun watch for sure. First time they had the FT-86 also, wonder if they'll have it on the regular show. Not too surprised Clarkson loved it.

My sister had a 97 SC400 for a few years, and it wasn't terrible. I think it was helped that it wasn't a convertible, so you could actually fit 4 people in the car. She bought it used though, so it probably wasn't as bad as buying it new. It was a fun car to drive. Though to be fair, my options at the time were that, a Lexus ES300, and a Crown Victoria. I would nominate Crown Victoria for one of the best cars of all time.

Completely different car than the SC430

I've always been curious when they do the car sports thing and beat the poo poo out of a bunch of brand new cars; who pays for them? Does the BBC buy them all then fix them? Rent them and fix them afterwards? Sell for parts? Aside from the body damage I'm sure the drivetrains take a beating too.

Yeah, there's no way they bought those cars for 1500. That's about 2200 USD and I can find early 90s 850s for about that. The 850r was started in 96, so I can't see them getting one under the limit. Those cars have to have major problems or they cheated.
