I haven't given it a full listen yet but I'm digging the new Ladytron album. Reminds me of the Knife, except poppier and with traces of arena rock, and lyrically about extremely nihilistic end of the world stuff.

I think the new self-titled Ladytron is probably one of their best yet. The Animals and Deadzone especially are two of their best tracks in ages but the album as a whole has almost no weak points, unlike Gravity The Seducer which had 4 bangers start the album and then gradually devolved into filler tracks and bizarrely lame instrumentals. New album feels like the real step forward since Velocifero but has a lot of great cues from Witching Hour.

I've been really digging Lucy Dacus - Addictions.

Heard it from Waxahatchee's feed. I kind of bounced off her after checking out the non Phoebe Bridgers part of boygenius but this track really stood out to me.

Man I saw Sunflower Bean last night open for Interpol and they were lame as gently caress, the lead singer was obnoxious and spent way too much time trying to hype up the crowd.

Interpol on the other hand kicked rear end, as always.

Yeah, it's dope as hell. I know it's still pretty early in 2019, but that's my album of the year so far.

It kinda feels like a Deftones record (or maybe Crosses or Team Sleep) if they implemented more/noisier electronics, which is entirely my poo poo. In fact, I like it more than the last Deftones record.

In Meet Me in the Bathroom (the best indie rock book out there right now) there's a whole section about how he introduced heroin to a Albert Hammond of The Strokes. When they called him out on it and told him to stop hanging out with the band because it was literally killing them and ruining their careers, he was like "how about no?"

Dude's always been a shithead.

This is a great book and while there is a cast of characters on the very first page, holy poo poo I hope you know who everyone's names are by heart because it just dives right in and I found myself having to reference the cast sheet too much. I mean it's not a deal breaker.

I finally got around to listening to the entire album. There are a few that stand out to me (NC-17, Psychonaut, & Strange Days) , but it really works best as an entire album. I think I am sold on seeing them live now.
