Yeah he put out the Sable EP last year, which became disc 1 of the album Sable, Fable.

Old Town Road to EGOT

I've been posting about it in the Nine Inch Nails thread because she has a YouTube channel where she breaks down songs and she's done a lot of NIN videos, but I really want more people to listen to this new ixi album called decca. It's her first album of originals, and it reminds me of NIN, Massive Attack, The Knife and more.

It's on streaming platforms as of yesterday, but it came out a month ago on her Bandcamp.

Playoffs are no big deal,
don't have a crap attack.
I got TV on the Radio tickets for this summer.

I was never super into them. I liked their EP, but didn’t love their debut. Same with Cookie Mountain, although I probably enjoyed it more. Then I never really listened to anything else they put out.

Over the past year, I have been listening to them more and realizing I was wrong. There’s a lot of good stuff there. So, I’m glad I’m able to see them live, because who knows if it’ll ever happen again.

I’m debating getting LCD Soundsystem tickets later this week, because I saw them play an arena and there was no energy in the crowd. Maybe one of the worst shows I’ve seen (also took about 30 mins to get through the line to be let in, so I missed the first few songs). But, they are playing a smaller venue, so I’m considering it depending on the price.

I am now in my “going to see bands for nostalgia” era.

lol, I'm seeing them for the first time in June so this is very encouraging.

LCD is awesome live. Get near a good dancing group of people and just have fun; this is not a band to just sit in the back and vibe. The smaller venues the better

I saw LCD live once. They opened for Arcade Fire in 2007. We drove to Columbus from Detroit, spent an hour trying to find parking. Finally got in to see the final 30 seconds of the LCD set.

there's a reason LCD Soundsystem's entire thing the last few years has been running 2-10 nights at smaller venues in residencies

I kinda wanna go to that Hollywood Bowl show with them and Pulp because at least by then they should have more music out so even if there is less active fun dancing in a big venue I get to hear new music from them live

That Sable, Fable album is Bon Iver’s best, and the best sense of closure for the project. Sure, it’s not as out there as 22, A Million or as crushing as For Emma, but it’s 1. very good songwriting and 2. Actually relatable. Yes, you will find the right one after heartbreak and failure and it’s going to make you into a dork.

Hell yeah, this song is such an (incredibly mean) banger. I think This Is Hardcore edges it for me over Different Class - that run of the first five tracks is just too good. But they're both fantastic albums.

Been on a real Pulp kick since the new single dropped. All other britpop pales in comparison imo

Very jealous of you. I was gonna get tickets for the Cleveland show months ago, but my buddy was at the show in Cleveland where Connor had his "incident" so I figured I'd wait and see how things played out. Then i forgot. Whoops.

I've seen Cursive many times and they're always flawless. Connor is sober these days so you'll get a good one.

Anyone else think the vocals in the new King Gizzard were mixed too low? All the guitar and brass is on top, hiding those vocals underneath.

It's amazing. Also baffling Pulp were formed in 1978 making them not only the best but the original Britpop band.

This is sure to be an unpopular take around here but LCD is generally not good. There are some songs that I like, but I can’t stand the boring repetitiveness that somehow needs to go on for 7 minutes. When I got my car Sirius XMU was playing ‘tonite’ once an hour and I just had to switch to another station at around the 4 minute mark, and then I’d switch back to XMU, but that song was still just going.

I’m not gonna say that every LCD song earns its length but when they hit, they hit

For example: all of Sound of Silver and This is Happening

Edit: it also feels much better in a live setting when you’re surrounded by people dancing and feeling the vibe

They're okay at best imo but also I don't understand playing most of their full songs on the radio when it works much better in a live band or DJ setting.

This just means you clearly aren't a fan of electronic music overall.

I triple dog dare you to try to make it through one album by The Field.
