Idk who Kleerup is, but they did a song with Yuumi Zouma that reminds me of like, Arcade Fire circa Funeral. At least, the back half of this is like what I remember the back half of rebellion feeling like. It's pretty different than Yuumi Zouma's other stuff but so good:

Also as a more general note Yuumi Zouma's great:

Eh, it's ok *hipster voice* the first album was def better. As with most indie bands, the 2nd album gets more poppy, with the clarity turned to 11.

From the first album, you've probably heard this in Starbucks or Forever 21

I’m a little late on Arlo Parks but I’m loving her. What a voice. A friend had mentioned her album to me, but it wasn’t until I saw BBC had an interview with her on Elliott Smith that I really dug in. I can definitely feel that similar warmth and vulnerability that his music had.

I've mentioned him before in the thread but Anthonie Tonnon is easily one of my favourite Kiwi musicians, his new video was shot during a show he did at a planetarium a few years ago

Seems like a strange avenue to take: you make your money on the tour...unless you own the music. Even then Dr. dog never seemed like the kind to sell to alternative revenue streams like Ads?? I just dono how the finances like that square when COVID deffo wrecked everyone's poo poo, even the bands that hate to tour, moneywise.

I liked Getting Into Knives more than Goths and Beat The Champ. Songs for Pierre Chuvin was pretty good but not great.
