Everyone should check out Tinted Windows, it's a supergroup with Adam Schlesinger, James Iha, Bun E. Carlos and Taylor Hansen and it's really really great, just perfect timeless power pop.

I mean...it was kinda mediocre. And I bought that album day 1.

I really loved Fountains of Wayne. Not just because I grew up in Wayne, but because they were a great band that just hit the right spot of 80s New Wave with 90s Power Pop.

My favorite song was Valley Winter Song, from Welcome Interstate Mangers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIO1tXMnt4E#t=206s

I thought The Suburbs was their weakest album when it came out but after running to it a few times it became probably their best for me overall. They probably will never release anything amazing again tbh.

It is less than 10 years ago they won a Grammy for album of the year.

A few months ago my wife mentioned that the guy from Modest Mouse sounds like Brak and now I can never unhear it.

I would prefer to listen to the real Brak myself.

I got the idea to use a new song for my alarm clock. This may be the dumbest thing I've ever made.

I don't really know what thread best suits the Johnny Jewel / Italians Do It Better catalog but this just dropped today and I've had it on repeat for 3 hours

This eventually led me to see their selling the whole "Night Drive" album for a buck on their website. Sold!

I picked it up. I didn't know it was time limited. Because it is a political donation?

Sufjan is aiming for a #1 album based off of spotify streams like when Chris Brown released a 50 track triple album.

I'm not liking this much at all, yikes.

This sounds like a most MM songs post Good News - more uptempo and trying to get another Float On hook. I always like the more dour, rambling stuff from them - my favorite song is Dramamine and Blame it on the Tetons.

If I wanted more of that I would listen to the first Clap Your Hands Say yeah album again, which I still think rules.

edit: CYHSY released a new album in Feb and no one here talked about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTzUw0FdkVw
