Arcade Fire's first three albums have aged really really well

after that though..

I could do without Neon Bible. I'm still quite fond of their self-titled EP though.

one of the best live shows I've ever seen to this day is still an Arcade Fire one I saw back when they were touring Funeral. Wolf Parade and La Belle Orchestre opened, so I was pretty spoiled for the line-up.

That's a band that I haven't even thought of in over 15 years, but I do remember loving The Last Broadcast. I'll have to see if they hold up.

Last Broadcast was great but I haven't really revisited it.

I still put their cover of Willow's Song on playlists. It's a drat good cover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyMYNeX6NUg

Hey here's a stupid question. A friend is reading a book about Kid A and we started talking about Pitchfork's funniest reviews. I remember their review of Agaetis Byrjun being really, really funny - probably funnier than their Kid A review - with language like: "wrists will be slit and children will be conceived to this album." But they've since replaced their review with an updated one, and now I can't find the old review anywhere!! Can anyone help me find it?

edit: found it! https://web.archive.org/web/20021003125137/http://pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/s/sigur-ros/agaetis-byrjun.shtml

i always chuckled at the difference between And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead's Source Tags and Codes and Worlds Apart album reviews...

Perfect 10 for Source Tags and Codes... lots of gushing over it: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/178-source-tags-and-codes/

For Worlds Apart? Scored a "4". The opening line:

Did Source Tags & Codes deserve a 10.0? That's not for me to say...
