I like this. Vocalist girl has a cool voice (accent?) and you have a good sound. Band name is kind of bad, yes, but whatever.

Anyone else listen to Asobi Seksu? Cute little dreampop band that I got turned onto a year ago by a friend of mine who saw them live.
I also saw them live, entirely by accident, and was pleasantly surprised.

They played with a band called Gospel Gossip, out of Minneapolis, if they haven't been mentioned in here yet:

Yeah I could really go for a bit more Christmas music. Not some novelty version of Jingle Bells sung by a 5 year old, just, you know, music, that is about Christmas. This is my favorite holiday, and one of my favorite "yeah, this is where I want my life to be right now" moments is throwing on a little Christmas music, lighting a fire, and letting the tree and the fire (and the XBMC visualization) be the only light in the room.

I am irritated by the number of times I see some piece of auxiliary percussion being quietly played in a video (or on a stage) nowhere near a mic. Ok, I bet that sounds cool for you, guy playing the thing. But the rest of us can't hear it at all and you're basically just jerking off. Irritating. Irritating!

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think a trailer for a single is an irritating thing.

the Empire of the Sun dudes (or their record company) seem kind of douchey, and they seem to have walked into the studio, turned the MGMT and Passion Pit knobs all the way up, and walked back out. I'm having trouble liking them at all.

You'd have to be careful, by the looks of that video you could accidentally get laid just by having the music playing

Just discovered Volcano Choir. Bon Iver/Vernon's sorta pre-Bon Iver still kinda side project. Gonna have to say it's straight up better than most Bon Iver stuff. Really good.

I think it's better, but I'm slightly biased because of the following reason wherein I not-quite-namedrop like mad: I'm acquainted with the Collections of Colonies of Bees dudes (and once played a 24-hour-long web-streamed experimental music jam thing with one of them, pretty sure I shortened my life by several years that day), and I'm acquainted with a woman who was (is?) dating Justin Vernon for a while.
