New Phoenix is a pretty generic indie pop album, and sounds exactly like what you expect a Phoenix album to sound like. It's worth a couple listens, there are some enjoyable songs on there. I like "Bourgeois" myself. But yeah, definitely nowhere near WAP. I don't think they will ever come close to touching that album again.

e: For content, I just found this band called The Neighbourhood and have really been enjoying their album "I Love You." It kind of reminds me of Portugal. The Man at some points, though that may be the lyrical content. Apart from that, I'm not really sure how to describe them. Check them out.

Here's the song "Sweater Weather:"

My favorite song of theirs has to be Wires, off their EP.

I like their album, but some of the lyrics are hit or miss.

They also released their tour schedule today.

This song is just absolutely incredible. I wasn't a big fan of 'Evil Friends', but this song is exactly what I was hoping. I do love the new mixing, as well.

This album is gonna be good.
