Alright, so hopefully I am not committing and cardinal sins with this one. I did a quick forum search for this band's unique moniker and didn't find anything so hopefully it's somewhat new to people. French? Check. Indie? They don't even have a wikipedia page. Deceptive name pronunciation? Roger. The Aikiu (pronounced eye-que) is a French new-wave band I heard about a few months back. They had a semi-infamous video for the song 'Pieces of Gold' that was interspliced with shots from gay porn. Fast forward to a few days ago when I check out their website and saw they had an album coming out in June. I liked their first song so I checked out the new single and love it. So here is a bit of their stuff, with an album Ghost Youth coming out June 17th. I was browsing Pitchfork's 10's by year. I didn't realize how few there were, but was happy to say I owned quite a few of them. I think Bjork might have been the only artist to have two albums on it, but I could be wrong.
