Say 'Thank you, Ershin'.

Say it.

Requesting to swap out the injured Hokutofuji with Daishomaru for the remaining matches starting tomorrow.

E: Last match of the day delivered and then some.

Day 11 could not be more proud of the way he did it, (almost certainly) Ozeki motherfucking Tochinoshin

Did anybody hear the Kakuryuu apology for his henka? Apparently the idea just popped into his head once the match started lol.

Kinda spoilers but I just turned on the matches and and good god it still amazes me how big Gagamaru is but has absolutely no strength. Dude just got judoed like a big marshmallow

I was just thinking this. My first thought was "hey he's a big fella this should be a good ma--ohh hey lol"

He's like a bigger* less mobile version of Ichinojou.

* not actually bigger

Big day tomorrow with Tochinoshin-Hakuho. Maybe with the confidence Tochinoshin has he can finally get his first win against him.

Also, in the match today Hakuho again didn't place his hands on the ground before the Tachiai. Is that allowed?

For those of you who think Gagamaru's bad and makes poor use of his weight advantage, he is as nothing compared to the dearly departed Yamamotoyama:

Day 12 had a lot of fun matches.

Last match was amazing, Hakuho almost had him a couple times, I thought Tochinoshin was in trouble when he clearly couldnt lift him.

Kinda surprising that Hakuho played Tochinoshin's game. Though it shows what a boss Hakuho is that Tochinoshin couldn't pick him up, even though he had no problem picking up Ichinojo, who weighs 150+lbs more.

I have an ear to ear smile today. Up there with some of my most cherished sporting moments. Yokozuna Tochinoshin in 2019?

Also I think Kotoshogiku deserves huge props for not quitting when he got demoted, sticking around and doing good sumo and a good job keeping the younguns honest. Hopefully he can grab the one more win he needs sooner than later.

Man props to Hakuho too for playing into tochinoshins style. He even had a smile on his face when he was beaten. He proved what we all know: never let Tochinoshin get your mawashi

Even so, I think Tochi only barely pried Hakuho off that tawara. Dude has velcro toes.

Crazy to think only 6 months ago people were talking about Kakuryu being almost certain to have to retire. He has a decent shot at his fifth yusho here.
