The idea of Crossbow giving a speech is the funniest mental image imaginable. That whole thing is just hilarious. An alignment change all the way down to evil seems a bit harsh for what amounted to bad luck, poor explanations and self defence though.

I would have put crossbow down to evil and the other guys down to chaotic neutral or something Also you're running a game a with a character who can only loving say the word crossbow and is somehow actually named crossbow, I assume it's not very serious and also light on the complicated and in-depth character roleplay. But on the other hand, putting them down to evil does pretty much give them the go ahead to start running in doing this kind of poo poo all over the place so I approve.
