You know that saying; "Never meet your heroes"?

I'm pretty sure the P210 is what they were talking about for me. I have this sinking feeling its going to chomp on my hand something fierce and I'll wind up having similar feelings about it as I do the Hi Power. I'm almost afraid to actually shoot one.

You can shoot my Swiss Luger then and just dry fire the P210

Keep in mind that .357 will alter those capacities. My 20" R92 would hold 10+1 .38Spl and 9+1 .357 stock. The stock mag spring is super stiff and longer than it needs to be to limit capacity to 10 rounds. I snipped off a few coils and now it's much easier to load and can hold 11+1 .38 and 10+1 .357.

You can also smooth the action pretty easily and I found a 50 cent spring that will smooth out feeding of different bullet profiles, lighten the effort to close the lever and have the brass dribble out at your feet rather than toss them 10 feet behind you.

I put the whole action spring job here if you are interested
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ENMY1wTN2I

I also touched up the wood on mine with a can of danish oil, the stock finish is more like a brown wax and looks a bit crappy.

I have just about talked a friend of a friend into selling me his P210. It's a -6 with target sights and 9mm and 7.65 barrels, all in original box.

Lord, I know we don't get along but please do this for me. Please make this happen.

But it will never be because it just sold for $13,577.85 after fees to someone who is richer then me and I ran out at 13k which was everything I had been able to scrape together for the auction by selling things and pulling all my savings together.

Oh well, at least we have these pictures.

I'm not crazy, right? Even for 2500 dollars this is still a drat nice deal isn't it? Polish blued slide. Forged frame. No import marks. Huge adjustable rear sight. Overtravel adjustable trigger. Both plastic and wood grips. Original box and papers. An extra barrel with an extra recoil spring in a little bag. There's a lot of groovy things I could do with this check but this seems like an ok one.

Other possibilities would have been a Nighthawk or a WW1 1911.

It's too bad there'll never be a bunch of beat to hell $500 p210s imported suddenly like there was Manurhins.

Sorry it didn't work out but you committed to a serious attempt to get it and did your best. As you know, there are guys out there for whom that's chump change so even if you could have gone $2k higher if it was someone with deep pockets he could have just topped the bid and won anyway.
