Only if you buy it for something serious. If you buy it as a big, ugly, unreliable range toy(and it's got the gold tigerstripe) you're probably safe.

I've got a nickel one in 44. Thinking about getting the .50AE barrel just because. They are big, ugly, and a range toy (who wants to lug around a 5 pound pistol and that's before you load it?) But I wouldn't call them unreliable.

Most the problems I've seen are from folks who don't know how to shoot. They limp wrist them and cause the problems. If you shoot it and do your job, the pistol will do its job.

SKILCRAFT
QUALITY BLIND MADE PRODUCTS, BITCH

Got this last month, and it's been amazing:

If you're hesitating, definitely get one, just make sure it's shiny!
I recommend starting with .44 like I did, ammo can be found easily and it's relatively cheap. You can always get a .50 kit later.

Edit: just keep in mind that the shiny ones are a bitch to clean

When I went to the Forks of the Delaware Historical Arms Society gun show in Allentown, PA a couple years ago, there were three of them there. I think the price was pretty comparable then, too.

I can't have a Desert Eagle. I'd be too tempted to open carry it as a big 'gently caress you, I have a gun' type gesture. Thanks to IR35 I do know that the magazines make great speedloaders for 44 mag Blackhawks

Yeah I can't even think about buying one to shoot. Someday if I get a nicer 2" Model 10 I might have my current one cut for moon clips.

I'm not in the US, so not an option for me, but I've a friend working on buying a lot of three, and I've got my pick of the litter when they finalize the deal.

Top to bottom they are: CZ vz 38, TT-33, Sten Mk II, CZ vz 26, Bren Gun, Mauser "Red 9" C96 Broomhandle, Winchester Model 1897.

So, what's the deal with the CZ vz 38? Literally never heard of them before today, then I saw that one going through that seller's list, and moments later you posted one. Are they just an early CZ model, or is there some historical significance to them?

On topic, I really want one of these, and the pair of 10/22's to throw in it.

CZ vz 38 was devsigned in 1937 for Czechoslovak army, for a pistol to replace the Vz 24-27 series. It was cosnidered a sucessful design and a large number was ordered by the Czechoslovak army, however Germany took over the show before any were delivered, so a majority of the production went to German Police, secondary units, and I hear even the SS got their mitts on a number. A very small batch was special made for the Luftwaffe, with a limited serial range. Production ended with the war and was never resumed. Chambered in 9x17mm, it was a bit of a clumsy gun. Most are DAO, making the trigger quite heavy, but limited productions of Single/Double action are known to exist. Bulgarian version had that safety on the left side, no other manual safeties are present.

They also come apart in a neat way.
