Searching "cz 91103" on Google came up with some promising pictures. Granted, not as well lit as that one. Looks to be it, albeit with ugly black grips.

Local gun store has a Springfield Armory Range Officer 1911 in the used case. Just looks like a fun range toy.

There is an idea of a Yuns, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.

Bleh Maestro posted:

The PMR 30 is amazingly fun. It totally feels like a toy gun when you pick it up and ergos are not good. But the trigger is surprisingly nice (light and smooth with a bit of creep/travel almost like a rolling trigger).

Me and some guys from Glocktalk including bac, grecco, BuckyP, rinsport and others had a recent range day in PA when we brought out tons of our finest stuff including: 1911s: Wilson Supergrade, Custom built off a Remsport, Nighthawk Falcon, Colt CQBP (Marine M45), Les Baer Monolith, Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special, Guncrafter No No Name and a bunch of other very nice ones I can't recall. Non-1911 semiautos included: Wolf Ultramatic SV 9mm, Sig Sauer X5 L1, Sig Sauer X5E Classic, Sig Sauer P210 Legend Supertarget, Sig Arms P210-5HF (Waffen Oschatz-tuned), customized Glock 35, a Glock in .22LR, customized Beretta Elite II, mint condition Beretta 89, HK Mark 23, HK P9S Target 9mm, HK P9S Sport Group III .45, a suppressed HK VP9, Sig P320, HK P7M10 .40, Pardini GT45-II 9mm, Sphinx Competitor, Benelli MP3S .32, CZ P-01, Kel-tec PMR-30, S&W 952, a Leckie-customized Browning Hi-Power, and Coonan .357 Mag. Revolvers included a S&W 29, an immaculate Colt Python, S&W 5-screw pre-14 K38, Freedom Arms 97 premier grade, and others.

In that illustrious company, the PMR-30 was a surprise hit. It looks and feels like a piece of poo poo but it was just really fun to shoot.

I have always had at least one FTF/FTE with my PMR30 per magazine (using Maxi-Mags), and it often sprays my hand with extremely hot gas. I do not recommend it.

So Wal-mart is doing a 20% off on firearms for black Friday and I've been eyeing an SR1911.

With the discount it would come out to $560. From what I can tell, that seems like a pretty good deal.

Any reason I shouldn't jump on the ruger at that price?

I don't believe Wal-mart sells handguns. Unless things have changed. Haven't seen a handgun in their cases for 20 years. They had a store shooting way back when and decided that while they're comfortable with shotguns and rifles, handguns are the devil.

In Alaska they still sell handguns, at least. I went and checked it out today, which made me really tempted to pick it up.

I bought an SR1911 a couple of weeks ago. I've put about 500 rounds through it and I absolutely love this pistol. I felt like the Ruger was a deal at $599; at $560 I would say it's an immediate buy.

Why is Ruger capable of making 500 variants of the same bolt action but they can't cerakote/DLC/nitron an SR1911 and charge $50 more?

Ruger does special runs requested by distributors all the time. It can't hurt to shoot some E-mails to TALO or Davidson's, etc. asking for it.

Got one of those too I bought one of these:

http://palmettostatearmory.com/inde...camo-11188.html

$289 is a very good deal if you want a 10/22 takedown, and the digital camo finish isn't super obnoxious. I've had a great time shooting it offhand with Tech Sights. Didn't think much of the one BX-25 magazine I bought though; it consistently fails to feed with many different brands of ammo. The ten rounders just work all day long.

Once my PAL gets here I'm also thinking 10/22 takedown (black with the threaded barrel) and a set of tech sights.

Also have my eye on a used Beretta 92FS if it's still around when the time comes. I was thinking about a cheaper used Ruger P345, but I think the price difference between .45 and 9mm ammunition would quickly nullify the money saved on the cheaper firearm.
