I don't know what that means but I distinctly remember the same thing happened to sixgun except it wasn't a dream.

Like when you play too much Tetris and you can't stop seeing Tetris when you close your eyes and dream of playing Tetris and you wake up midway through playing Tetris and have a frantic moment of trying to figure out how to drop that long piece to complete a Tetris before realizing you were only dreaming. But with gunbroker.

They were Everquest dreams for me. More than a few frantic moments just after waking, during that weird semi dream state period, trying to camp out during a wipe or chug a gate potion to escape a dangerous situation before realizing it was just a dream.

are colt revolvers really that much better than rugers? I always see people lusting for them, and I've never owned or shot one, but man I just love my ruger revolvers. They seem unbreakable.

Well the only Colt revolver in the list is a pre-WW2 type Colt revolver, of which there is no Ruger equivalent. Ruger didn't offer a double action until the 70s and they were chunky modern coil spring affairs at their most antiquated and a dainty pencil barreled prewar Colt with a V or W shaped leaf spring powering it bear almost no comparison.

You can't really lump all Colt revolvers together in terms of quality. Even into the era that they and Ruger were competitors, there were the deluxe Colts like the Python and other classics that still used the classic V shaped leaf spring action that had a unique feel and required crazy amounts of hand fitting to make work and went easily out of time and then required a super experienced gunsmith to put back in order -- honestly even though they were contemporaries, I consider them a different animal completely than what Ruger has ever offered. From a purely utilitarian standpoint, they were inferior if anything to Ruger's action but as a work of gunmaking craftsmanship, and the sort that make people pay three grand for the most basic average Python at the moment, there's no comparison.

But there was also a series of coil springed and transfer barred revolvers from Colt. The Mark III to V Troopers were basically identical to the Ruger action. The same action was even used for the King Cobra and the Anaconda, but for those two people have been tricked into believing otherwise because of pure association with the Python, and it really is a kind of insanity that these command the kind of values they do.

No idea when I'll next get to shoot with him. The only really remarkable details would be the fat front sight and porting at the muzzle. I like how easy the front sight is to pick up when shouldering and it scores bonus points for being a night sight. The porting works as intended.

The porting may actually be a threaded brake, I don't rightly remember.

The ported flash hider is integral to the front sight deck. And I swear you could set down a cup of tea on the stock front sight, it's hilarious. Thankfully it's somewhat easily fixed, both front and rear.
