It's actually a rib you can buy and glue on. I'm not sure if they still produce them new, but they did as of a couple years ago I think.

God drat it. My Camp 9 has me itching for an original tube magazine Ruger Deerfield to start an odd duck sporting PCC collection. And was it Marlin that briefly made a lever-action in 30 Carbine that would also belong in that lineup?

Yep; the Levermatic. There were two of them at the last gun show I went to. I probably should have picked one of them up.

A Tanfoglio Witness Stock II in 10mm. I've been oogling them for a year now but I figure it's more pistol than my current skill level justifies so I've been spending the money on ammo and practice with my CZ 75. I'm not any closer to being ready for the Tanfoglio but now they've all dried up. What happened, did they stop making them?

I had one of those in .22lr. I found it to be quite fragile and had to replace the firing pin twice and some other part, I forget which.

One thing about them to watch for is that the action is short. So short in fact that I think guys think it hasn't actually cycled fully and will break it continuing to try to throw the lever.

Also, if you guys are looking at .30 Carbine, I assume you have eyeballed Ruger Blackhawks chambered in it?

Yup. The federal government can keep firearms, export them, or destroy them, generally speaking. NO AMERICAN BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS.

Probably, as long as they otherwise meet ATF import regs - the handgun points test, etc.
