In France they call it a Royale with Bleu

(It's Colt's Royal Blue finish. I think they still apply it to any gun you send to them, along with $$$.)

These K2/whatever pattern rifles might look silly but they're solid as hell and the mechanism is boner inducing genius. Takedown is really natural and field stripping is easy. Awesome little rifles.

There are two variants at my local gun shop right now. Both are >$1,200.

One of them has a telescoping stock.

I'm okay with those since they're made by Olympic Arms, and not like somebody took an original Whitney and hosed it up.

Too bad Samson never got their reproduction off the ground—supposedly they had original tooling and paperwork from Whitney and even a large cache of small parts.

Mauser 90DA

It's a FEG Hungarian pistol that Mauser allowed to use their rollmark to market to European gun owners.

e: in all mechanism and function, it is a FEG P9R. Link goes to a Russian gunformation site so make sure your anti-malware software is up. Too bad because Max is a great source of gun info.

Pretty sure they don't exist in the states at all, and they're apparently extremely hard to find in Argentina, too.

The video description says it's an open-bolt semi-auto, so I'm thinking that it'll never come the US.

e: erp, if I watched the video I would be able to see it is open-bolt too
