All but one county surrounding Puget Sound (Skagit the lone alternative, and it was only within 1 percent) voted in favor of it, but the rest of the state, and overwhelmingly Eastern Washington voted against it. Adams County was 73% against it Skagit is pretty rural, and it has a lot of Evangelicals and Hispanic Catholics. I'm surprised how close the vote was, actually. (+1 from me in Skagit, btw)
