The very recent Persona 4 (up to episode 20) with what's apparently the title theme for Project Rub. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb0bf6FgKuo It's kind of a niconico meme to use that music over stuff but I think it's well-executed here. Going back to One Piece, and for that matter even going back to the Whitebeard War and the ten million AMVs it spawned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKWJRZr3a4c&feature=related I think this is the best AMV I've seen for this event because unlike the typical "war/battle song," that is used as accompaniment, the song doesn't focus on tragedy and lamentation, nor the exultation of fighting and honor and whatnot. Rather, the lyrics carry an overtone of finding rebirth and new clarity as a result of conflict, which I felt like was one of the core themes of the Whitebeard War. It was about this great conflict being a tipping point for the start of a new era in the One Piece world, and a crucible for the discovery, affirmation or revelation by several characters of what was truly important to them. Also, I just love Shinedown in general.

The TTGL and End of Eva videos posted on this page were really great. And that Youtube channel is good too. All of these contain really heavy Fate/Stay Night spoilers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AFcxyypQ0M&hd=1 The singer in this one has a really high-pitched voice, so you might want to turn your volume down. This one is my personal favorite. It's not the most creatively edited, but it hits all the right notes and the song isn't too terrible. It... it even makes me want to watch the UBW movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mQcRHad9ts&hd=1 This one is interesting because it's nothing but stills from the VN with some special effects. And they managed to fit in all three routes without the video coming off as cluttered and schizophrenic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2GxxogM-kE&hd=1 This one has really amazing editing - framing Shirou's burning hometown behind him as he's fighting Archer is great, but the song is awful and sounds like it belongs in a Bleach video instead of this one. To continue the Nasu theme, Kara no Kyoukai https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8aZL8PTcyI&hd=1 Black Lagoon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pWwwVjRDBs&hd=1

This. This was the first AMV I ever saw, and it probably started me out on FLCL as well. My contribution: Evangelion/EoE, "Engel" by Rammstein https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJu87csH2ZU An old classic. Song syncs up perfectly with what's going on, also Asuka is part German so there's that.

I feel like the best AMV would be "Wasted Time by Heavenly and the video part was made up entirely of reaction face clips from the Whitebeard War arc of the One Piece anime. I bet there really are at least six full minutes of just guys standing there in shock. Probably at least half of that is Ace.

I've always been partial to Tainted Donuts, a Trigun/Cowboy Bebop mashup that's got some fairly good merging of the two different series. Maybe it's because both were my introductory series, but I also love the Japanese hip-hop track.

I think this one does a pretty good job of showing how unoriginal and repetitive anime is (to some classic TM at that). But we love it anyway. Oh, its not making a statement. I was being facetious. vvvvvvvvvvvvvv AlternateNu fucked around with this message at 15:50 on Jun 23, 2012 |

Japanese Hip-Hop is really the best music that fits anime AMVs. But I've never seen anyone use even 1 song. For every anime, there's at least 1 Japanese rap song that fits it perfectly, they can even be the OP themes.
